A Walk in the Yard on a Mild Spring Day

These iris are actually in my neighbor's yard, but easily seen by me.

There is no real reason to scour the countryside looking for beauty in our Virginia mountains. Sometimes, it's just a matter of taking a camera with a good lens out to our own yards. Here's what I found in and around my front and back doors just a few minutes ago on a late-afternoon spring day.

This is a dogwood that was pink a week ago.

The light through the fence highlights these lovlies.

I'm especially fond of my mint with iced tea.

Light through the fence again. Love the pattern.

There's a lot going on with the hosta.

Rhododendron is always a favorite of mine.
